Beverly
Beverly became a Yoga teacher in her 40’s after starting a practice over 15 years ago. Her experiences over the years brought her to a place where she felt she needed to take her practice deeper and share it’s infinite possibilities with others looking for a first time introduction or those looking to add to an already ingrained asana. Though teacher is the title, she feels guide is a more appropriate term as her belief is that the teacher is there to guide each student to the places and experiences that speak most, to the individual journey, allowing the students to connect to their own internal teacher so that their practice more personally fulfills their needs. Whether your desire is to follow a physical, mental or spiritual practice Beverly welcomes you to each class as the unique individual you are. Certified as a Hatha and Yin instructor she welcomes young and old, new and experienced to explore body and soul. Maybe you will find more open joints, maybe a more open heart and maybe you will just have a laugh. Whatever your goal, come ready to explore and breathe. Beverly’s own health experiences with heart and breath have given her a deeper understanding of the healing effects of yoga. Her wish is to pass on the knowledge shared over the centuries with others. The North American life style keeps us in such a constant state of unrest that taking time to connect internally and get to know ourselves and our body’s has become a difficult art to master. Sherine was born in Switzerland and moved in Summer 2009 to Vancouver. For her, Yoga is the answer we all have been looking and waiting for, it's a tool for life. Through the practice you're able to approach everything on your life's journey. Behind the floating clouds in your mind the deep blue sky is waiting for you. Yoga helps us to find clarity and to come home to our true nature of being. When you're able to harness your mind, through stillness in the body and calmness in the breath, you're able to attain your full potential.

Sherine is also a Prenatal and Yin teacher, she integrates her knowledge from all her training to guide her students. In her classes there is something for everyone, from the beginner to the advanced. The emphasis is always on the breath, the present moment and to practice with awareness. Be ready to transform, to connect to the amazing power within, to laugh, dance and play. Come, shine and feel the magic happening.

Wesley graduated with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria (Social & Phys. Ed.) and he went on to have a successful high school teaching career both in Canada and abroad. After studying yoga for over 12 years Wesley completed his Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certification under the guidance of qualified teachers in the styles of Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin and Kundalini from the Semperviva Yoga College in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He has made the full-time transition from the high school classroom into the yoga studio and as a certified Hatha & Vinyasa Power Flow instructor, Wesley's credo is simple: 'Yoga Is For Everyone!' Creating a fun & safe atmosphere with funky music mixes & challenging sequences, Wesley invites his students to focus on discovering their breath within each and every class. Rebecca (sub)

With a background in dance Rebecca first came to yoga to find another form of exploration through the body. Her passion for the practice grew very quickly as she fell in love with the endless possibilities not only to expand the body but also the mind.

Now more then 10 years later Rebecca has been a devoted student to the practice of yoga both on and off the mat. She believes coming to the mat is the tool to find both strength and ease in our life and help bring that balance into everyday. The dance of breath and movement carry us out of our busy lives and into the simplicity and pleasure of the moment.

Rebecca is grateful to the many inspiring teachers who have shared their wisdom and guidance of this life practice. She believes we can all find a place on the mat and is passionate about offering the opportunity for everyone to find their expression of yoga!

Colin teaches from a place of love, gratitude and compassion. He reminds us that living our 'now-life' is about being present in this moment and that dwelling in the past or speculating on the future doesn't serve anyone. With first hand experience, Colin knows that healing from pain, suffering and 'dis-ease', is unequivocally possible through yoga. Classes cater to all levels and are joyously active, empowering and filled with conscious breath.

Yin Yoga is a powerful practice which targets tendons, ligaments and fascia within the body. Each posture is held for long periods of time to encourage the slow and safe opening of connective tissues, leaving the yogi with an overall feeling of lightness, spaciousness and peace. The perfect antidote to stress and a great counter balance to more active style yoga.

Jacci
Jacci’s journey in yoga began over 12 years ago when she sought out Ashtanga yoga as an alternate form of training for her career as a professional dancer. Once on the mat, she discovered that yoga was not only the perfect way to balance out the body’s strengths and weaknesses, but it also left her feeling peaceful and at ease. As her awareness grew she was able to manage chronic injuries left in her body from a career in dance. She even averted pending low-back surgery by committing to a steady and mindful yoga practice. She remains constantly humbled by how deep this practice can penetrate. A firm believer in the body-mind connection, she encourages her students to move away from the ego and into the true self. She is currently teaching hatha, flow and vinyasa yoga throughout Vancouver. Her classes emphasize a strong awareness of physicality along with self-acceptance and trusting the innate intelligence of the body. She has proudly been teaching yoga to all ages and abilities since 2004.

Kaili (sub)
Kaili’s reverence for the path of yoga began nine years ago on her first trip to India, where she studied Hatha yoga and meditation in a small ashram in the foothills of the Himalayas. She felt a recognition as though she had arrived home, and it is the same contentment that she feels each time she practices yoga. Kaili is formally trained as a Hatha Yoga teacher; however has studied internationally and draws from the styles of Iyengar, Vijnana, and Vinyasa flow.

In Kaili’s classes you will dance with the current of breath in a liberating and dynamic sequence, and find balance through rejuvenating postures that evoke ease and stillness. Kaili’s explorations and passion for dance therapy, Somatic Psychology and Vedantic yoga philosophy remind her that life becomes even more miraculous when we nourish and honor the creative spirit within. Through the practice of yoga we discover a lightness of being that is playful and heart-centered. It is her hope that she can assist each yogi to complete their practice feeling empowered, connected and full of love.
